Our mission is to connect readers to local businesses that offer the products and services that they need. We inform readers of exclusive discounts and promotions as well as exciting, upcoming events. We want to see local businesses grow and thrive!

We are currently operating in Independence, MO and Blue Springs, MO. Each city has six distribution locations that can be found on our "Distribution Locations" page.

The distribution locations can change as often as once a week. The newsletters are distributed every Friday.

Our e-newsletter is available through subscription-only currently. Sign up today on the "Digital Newsletter" page! The digital newsletter contains all of the same content as the printed newsletter. To enter the monthly gift card giveaway, you must find the hidden bee located in the printed newsletter at one distribution location per city.

Our advertisers and their contact info (websites, addresses, phone numbers, etc.) can be found on our "Advertisers" page. For your convenience, subscribe to our e-newsletter (submit the form on our "Digital Newsletter" page) for a weekly email containing a digital copy of each week's newsletter and other informative, entertaining content.

Depending on your intent, there are a few ways to contact The Weekly Buzz, including website form ("Contact Us" page) and social media. If you're interested in becoming an advertiser or distribution location, there is more information on our "Business Inquiry" page.

Every Friday, we distribute our current edition of The Weekly Buzz to six different distribution locations in each city (these can be found on the "Distribution Locations" page). Each location in each city will have a hidden bee located in/near one business ad. Fill out the form on the "Gift Card Giveaway Form" page to enter! You can enter up to 4* times each drawing by finding the hidden bee each week. That's 8 chances to win if you find the hidden bee each week in both cities! Each distribution location in each city has the ad with the hidden bee. We post hints on the chosen ad space throughout the week on our social media accounts. The hidden bee is located in/near a company's ad.

We draw winners for each city on the first of the month. We will notify you via email if you're the winner. With your permission, we'll also post that you're our winner on our social media pages! If it is a e-gift card, it will be delivered via email. More often, the gift card will be physical and delivered via USPS to the address you listed on the Gift Card Giveaway Form.

Since our gift card comes from a local business each month, often the gift card is physical rather than digital. We mail the winners their gift card each month, but you will be notified if you won on the first of each month!

You can find all of the businesses that we've featured in our newsletter on the "Advertisers" page. This page will show contact information (website, address, email, phone number) to help you find everything you need in one place! We also mention the discounts and promotions that our current advertisers are offering.

We have this month's upcoming local events on the "Local Events" page. At the top of the page, there are links to take you to our "Past Events" and "Upcoming Events" (next month's events) pages. We have everything you need in one place to find your next outing! Dates of event, hyperlinks to find more information, and icons to easily help you determine if an event is one for you. There are only 6 distribution locations per city that can change as often as weekly. We try to fill these spots in queue, so reach out today for more information (fill out the form at the bottom of the "Business Inquiry" page). They take up as much space as standard printer paper since they are printed on 11x17 paper and folded in half. We'll set up the ads on Friday and pick them up on the following Friday. We recycle!

YES! However, we choose distribution locations in the order that we receive them. We will put you on our waitlist and let you know when you will start distributing The Weekly Buzz at your business. Let us know if you're interested in one or multiple weeks. We are interested in finding a few permanent distribution locations per city!

Each month, we spotlight a business in our newsletter! For only $50 more than our regular Monthly Ad Plan, our monthly spotlights gain these benefits in addition to the benefits of our regular ad plans: larger, centered spotlight ad placement in the newsletter social media post(s) to give readers more info of your business one blog post that includes: interview/history of your business I'll visit your business and give a glowing review of my experience This gives our readers a glimpse into what your business has to offer. Plus, they will have our recommendation on what products and services to try when they visit.

Each month, we offer a gift card giveaway for readers to enter. The gift card that in the giveaway will be exclusively from local businesses (No Walmart or Amazon gift cards here! #SupportLocal). For a $50 gift card donation, you'll receive these benefits: One month of advertisement* through our website, e-newsletter, and social media accounts We will match your donation to a charity in your company's honor** *note that this does not include an ad placement, though one can be purchased separately! **donation will be made in a lump sum to a local charity at the beginning of each year. Donors and their total donation amount will be listed in any content mentioning the donation, including, but not limited to, the donation letter to the charity, social media posts, and blog posts.

If you have an event in the area that you would like to promote, reach out to us on our Contact Form, and we'll add it to our "Local Events" page. We feature local events in our newsletters and e-newsletters each week!

NO! They are not required. However, we highly recommend adding this, preferably unique to The Weekly Buzz, in order to track marketing effectiveness. We want you to know exactly how much value we generate for your business.

NO! Your ad can run for as long as you would like using our Annual Ad Plan. Our newsletters are industry-exclusive, meaning only one business from a competing industry* can advertise in one of our newsletters each week. Lock out your competitors by locking in your ad space with a longer plan! *we advertise for multiple restaurants, but we won't show two pizza shops, two Italian restaurants, etc.

YES! We limit both of these opportunities to once every three months to give multiple businesses a chance at these exclusive opportunities. We do allow the same business to act as either multiple times!
